Florham Park Office of Emergency Management

Lt. Daniel Bundschuh - Coordinator

Office of Emergency ManagementThe Florham Park Office of Emergency Management (FPOEM) is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for the Borough of Florham Park. This plan addresses disaster mitigation, planning and preparedness, response to, and recovery from large scale emergencies and disasters that may affect the borough. The plan, which is submitted to the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, is reviewed and revised a minimum of every five (5) years.

The day to day operations of the Florham Park Office of Emergency Management falls under the responsibility of the Police Department in partnership with the following departments:
  • Florham Park Fire Department
  • Florham Park Memorial First Aid Squad
  • Florham Park Department of Public Works
  • Florham Park Department of Community Services
  • Florham Park Engineering Department
  • Florham Park Board of Education
The FPOEM partners routinely meet to discuss disaster plans and hold at least one (1) Field Training Exercise (FTX) annually in order to test our EOP.

The FPOEM has been busy over the past few years coordinating the response and recovery to several major natural disasters including Hurricane Irene, Super Storm Sandy, Winter Storm Quinn, and the COVID pandemic. As a result of these storms/events and subsequent Federal Disaster Declaration by the President, FPOEM was able to file for, and receive, thousands of dollars in reimbursement for expenses incurred.
