Community Policing

Community Policing Division consists of the Department's DARE and School Resource Officers.  Officers assigned to this Division are responsible for maintaining a presence in all of the Borough's schools, teaching DARE and GREAT classes, attending Senior and AARP meetings, Crime Prevention initiatives and all community based events such as Safe Night Out and National Night Out.  Members of the Community Policing Division also oversee the administration of Project Lifesaver, the Police Baseball Card program, Neighborhood Watch and the newly formulated Coffee with a Cop initiative.


Juvenile Aid Bureau is a combined effort by members of the Detective Bureau and Community Policing Division to investigate and intervene in all juvenile related matters.  Referrals to community based programs such as Project Community Pride is always the goal of the Juvenile Aid Bureau.
